Rappler: an honest answer is like a kiss

  • Rappler has the chance to answer charges of violating the Constitution and Anti-Dummy Law, why does it use the cover of Press of Press?
  • Why did Rappler accept investments from two American INVESTOR groups with links to US-billionaires that have been kicked out of many countries for destabilization plots against legitimately elected governments that go against the USA?
  • Does the support of PCIJ on the Rappler case have an credibility given the PCIJ received more than P8.5 million from US-CIA-linked funding source?

Doesn’t Rappler owe the Filipino people an answer to the charges of violating the Constitution and the Anti-Dummy Law the SEC has filed against it and clear its name, instead of hiding behind the cover of freedom of the press?

According to Rappler, “it issued “special PDRs” to get funds from the US investment firms Omidyar Network and North Base Media.”

Omidyar was founded by eBay founder Pierre Omidyar, widely linked to the Ukraine revolution that has wrecked havoc millions of Ukrainian families until today, and suspected funder in other destabilization movements all over the world.

North Base was founded by US journalists: including one that headed the Soros-backed Media Development Investment Fund.  Since when did billionaire George Soros become interested with a Filipino “social media” news organization, aside from its usefulness in fomenting revolutions through disinformation around the world.  Presuming the bet makes money, why would a US multi-billion dollar asset firm invest in a small money-losing media when they can invest in far bigger projects elsewhere like finance or technology?

(IN 2015, after three years in operation, Rappler had an operating loss of almost P40 million, or $1 million. Why would a dollar-billionaire investor invest in a company that continues to “lose” money, when there are so many financial or tech investments available that are substantially more profitable?)

Clearly the objectives are not financial, but POLITICAL?

Rappler has the chance to answer the charges against violating the Constitution and the Anti-Dummy Law.  Why does it hide behind the cover of press freedom instead of taking the opportunity to clear its name once and for all?  All Rappler has to do is prove the charges wrong and it would have the moral high ground to go back to do what it claims to do, which even Duterte publicly already agreed.

Former USA-agent Scott Rickard explains the role of USAID, Pierre Omidyar, National Endowment for Democracy, and George Soros in the revolutions, destabilizations plots, and currency manipulation worldwide specifically in the Middle East, Georgia, Ukraine, Russia, China, Hong Kong, and Thailand.  The main technique is to use local media, NGOs, and “experts” to foment negative opinions or dis-information against legitimately elected governments that DISOBEY the USA.  (Full transcript here: https://www.rt.com/shows/sophieco/ukraine-revolution-usa-support-246/)

George Soros transferred $18 billion to the mother organization Open Society Foundation (OSF), which has an annual budget of over $930 million to fund NGOs around the world that, the Israel government exposed, sought to keep a “low profile and relative distance” as OSF poured millions into a network of ostensibly independent and unrelated groups, united by their opposition to the current government of target.

Open Society Foundations and the Soros Fund Management fund the USA-Think Tank CSIS (Center for Strategic Studies).  CSIS funds the Albert Del Rosario Institute (ADRi), which incidentally happens to push for greater military cooperation with the USA.  (Upcoming Read: Nobody profits from war, except the USA military complex).

CSIS leadership includes retired government officials and military generals including Brzezinski, former US National Security Adviser credited for the propaganda war that led to the greater role of the USA in the Vietnam War, and Rex Tillerson, former Chairman of the Exxon Mobil and now US Secretary of State.

What are the objectives of these US-organizations increasing their funding in the Philippines through the selected Filipino NGOs, media, and experts?

Rappler, in its own article acknowledges the links to Soros backed Media Development Investment Fund.

PCIJ then published its support to Rappler.  But can the public still accept PCIJ’s credibility of being an “independent media agency” when it accepted more than P8.5 million from US-National Endowment for Democracy (NED), which has been accused of being a channel for the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA)?

“Even if NED wasn’t a CIA conduit, it is an institution funded by the US government, and therefore advances US interests.  Shouldn’t we be outraged that the US government is funding anti-Duterte media outfits here?”

Isn’t the accusation of US interference in Philippine affairs serious enough to warrant an exhaustive and transparent explanation from Rappler, PCIJ, CMFR and Vera Files?  These companies boast of upholding investigative journalism…where’s the investigation?

When there’s smoke, any intelligent person should investigate if there’s fire? Why does the smoke-maker get to fool the public twice?

American NGOs use the same template of using local media and NGOs in other countries, like Thailand and Indonesia (which happens to be Rappler’s next stop?).

In 2011, even Hillary Clinton admitted that the US is out on an information warfare that aims to USE foreign media to present the US-interest-propaganda worldwide.

Filipinos deserve the truth.
